Fylde Coast Players are proud to present ‘ A Murder is Announced’ , a play based on the novel by Agatha Christie and adapted for the stage by Leslie Darbon.
An extraordinary announcement in the local paper states that a murder will take place at a specific time in Miss Blacklock’s Victorian house, The Paddocks, in Chipping Cleghorn. The victim is unexpected and unknown – what follows is a classic Christie puzzle of mixed motives, concealed identities, and a determined inspector following the twists and turns of the plot. Pay attention - all the clues to reach a solution are there but (in true Christie fashion) accompanied by a shoal of red herrings and other mis direction.
Fortunately, Miss Marple is on hand to provide the solution in a dramatic final confrontation.
The plot is brought to life by award winning Fylde Coast Players on the superb stage at Lowther Pavilion in Lytham - a Christie treat not to be missed!
To find out more we have interviews with the show director, Tim Greenwood and some of the cast members and future Oscar winners. Coming soon - an interview with Miss Marple herself
