​Fylde Coast Players are thrilled to present The Unfriend, a dazzling new comedy by the legendary Steven Moffat—renowned for his brilliant work on Doctor Who, The Time Traveler’s Wife, and Sherlock. Hailed as “an uproarious comedy of English embarrassment,” this play promises an evening of laughter, wit, and unexpected twists. The play will be performed in the new Chapman Studio at Lowther Pavilion, a fabulous custom made space that allows the audience to get very close to the action

​While on holiday, Peter and Debbie strike up a delightful friendship with Elsa, an outspoken and spirited widow from the USA. She’s charming, she’s fun—she’s just a little too wonderful! What starts as a casual agreement to stay in touch (because no one ever actually follows through… right?) takes a wildly unexpected turn when Elsa invites herself to their home in England.

​But there’s a catch. Elsa Jean Krakowski isn’t quite who she seems. As Peter and Debbie uncover her shocking secret, they’re faced with a quintessentially British conundrum: how do you protect your family from a guest who might just be lethal—without being terribly impolite?
